Retreat FAQs

Everything you might be wondering.

Who is this retreat for?
Mothers of all ages and stages — from those with young children through to mums of grown kids. Pregnant women are welcome, but the breathwork session isn't recommended in pregnancy.
Do I need yoga or breathwork experience?
Not at all. All sessions are beginner-friendly and adaptable. Pregnant women are advised to skip breathwork.
Can I come solo?
Absolutely. Most mums come solo — and leave with new friendships. It's a welcoming, inclusive space.
What should I pack?
A full packing list will be sent closer to the date. Essentials: comfortable clothes for movement and rest, toiletries, a journal and pen, swimwear (yes, the pool is in use even in winter), and an open mind.
Will there be free time?
Yes. The program is structured but spacious — time to rest, read, walk on the beach, or do nothing at all.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Of course — vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free and other needs are accommodated. Specify when you book.
What's the cancellation policy?
Tickets are non-refundable once purchased but can be transferred to another participant. I'll help with waitlist transfers but the ticket holder is responsible for arranging it.
Are payment plans available?
Yes — email me at marley@motheringthemama.com.au and we'll arrange one.
What time is arrival and check-out?
Arrive from 3pm Friday. We leave for dinner at 6:30pm. Check-out is approximately 10:30am Sunday.
Is there a group chat beforehand?
Yes — with permission, I'll add everyone to a group chat so you can connect before arriving.
Can I bring children or my baby?
This is a child- and baby-free event. The whole point is for mothers to actually rest and reset.
I'm anxious about leaving my children — is that normal?
Completely. Most mothers feel that way going in. The break almost always sends you home more present, calm, and connected — not less.
What about alcohol?
No judgement either way. Drink, don't drink — completely your call.
