Birth education with Marley

In-home birth education and parent prep, across Adelaide and the Adelaide Hills.

Less clinical information-download, more emotionally supported preparation.

Two sessions in your own home covering birth, the early days, and the emotional landscape of becoming a parent. With a doula and a counsellor in your corner.

The approach

Birth prep that doesn't feel like a textbook.

You're pregnant. You leave the doctor's still confused, you've got brain fog and bread cravings. Birth has become so over-medicalised that we forget our bodies were built for this.

I went into my own birth without expectations to avoid disappointment, and left disappointed anyway. That experience is exactly why I built these sessions so other women don't walk away feeling the same.

What makes these sessions different is that I come to you as both a doula and a counsellor. That means we don't just prepare you for birth, we prepare you for parenthood. The clinical stuff matters, yes. But so does understanding the emotional and logistical changes heading your way, and actually having space to talk through them before you're in the thick of it.

We meet in your home across two unhurried sessions. We work through the physiology of birth, pain relief, interventions, and your birth plan. We also go deeper into how you're feeling about what's coming, what parenthood is going to shift in your life and your relationship, and what you need to feel genuinely ready. Not just informed, but held.

Most birth classes stop at "and then the baby is here." We don't.
